Tim Sweat is the owner and lead trainer of Foxcroft Farms. He has been teaching winners and training top horses for over 30 years. Tim brings a wealth of equestrian experience to Foxcroft Farm. Throughout his career Tim has coached numerous hunter, equitation and jumper champions at the nation’s top shows in the East and West as well as made numerous trips to Europe to purchase horses. His students have earned ribbons at many of the top horse shows including Devon, Harrisburg, Washington, and the National Horseshow. Tim’s ability to teach every level of riding makes him a valued member of the Foxcroft team.
Erik Eveleth – Barn Manager / Instructor

Erik is the Barn Manager and riding instructor for Fox croft Farms. He has been with Foxcroft since 2012 and is dedicated to the care of our client’s horses and needs of our clients. With a passion for riding at the early age of 9, Erik started his riding career. At the age of 13, Erik was a working student and the age 16, Erik started his teaching career. Erik competed at all levels of shows during his junior years. He earned a degree in Horse and Horse Farm Management from Michigan State University (MSU). Erik continued to teach while in school as well as worked at Horse Teaching and Research Center at MSU. During college he did an internship in Northern Ireland, where he worked at Ballinteggart Stud Farm.
Erik has been a professional instructor for over 15 years. He has traveled on the national show circuit grooming and caring for horses as well as managed equine facilities since 2004.
Kate Hermance – Instructor / IEA Coach
Kate began riding horses at an early age while living on the family farm in NE Iowa. She showed Paint Horses in the Hunt Seat and Western divisions and earned APHA Youth and Open championships. While attending Stephens College in Columbia, MO, she rode and showed hunters with the school’s stable. She was a competitor on the ‘A’ circuit for over 15 years in the Adult Equitation, Medals and Hunters. She has extensive experience in sales & marketing, and now focuses her attention on teaching riders, of all ages, the fundamentals and basics of riding and good horsemanship. Kate is the coach and trainer for FoxCroft’s IEA program.
Kate joined the Foxcroft team in 2010. Much of her time is spent working with IEA students and equitation riders as well as riding and training the farms thoroughbreds. Before coming to the Foxcroft team, Kate worked as a Marketing Director for a national homebuilder. Her successful show career riding green horses in the hunter, equitation and jumper divisions led her back to her passion of teaching and training horses. She is a graduate of Stephens College with a B.A. in Business Administration and an emphasis in Equine Science and currently serves as IEA Zone 4, Region 3 President (since 2012).
